NUL' IS A WOMENSWEAR COLLECTION INSPIRED BY TRADITIONAL HANDICRAFTS AND LITHUANIAN NATIONAL COSTUME.

TRADITIONALLY COSTUMES WERE CREATED WITH GREAT EFFICIENCY OF USE OF FABRICS, WHILE THEIR CUT WAS QUITE SIMPLE. COLLECTION PRESENTS HOW TRADITIONAL PATTERN MAKING TECHNIQUES CAN BE APPLIED AND INTERPRETED THROUGH ZERO WASTE DESIGN PRINCIPLES IN CREATION OF MODERN SUSTAINABLE FASHION. SUSTAINABILITY WAS CONSIDERED THE MAIN FACTOR DURING ALL STAGES OF COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT FROM SOURCING OF THE MATERIALS TO DESIGN.
Creating collection natural linen and linen-blend textiles produced locally in Lithuania have been used. The selection of these materials was a natural decision that helped to maintain the production technology close to traditional handicrafts and achieve particular visual and physical similarity to traditional costume. However, the styles of designs as well as cut of the garments were created to fit the contemporary perception of fashion and its functions.
